Last night, Carl Cox and Safehouse Management finished the Revolution for 2012 with a fantastic closing party.
After ten seasons at Space Ibiza, featuring some of the most renowned DJs in the world, Carl Cox opened up the ranks to welcome a whole army of new talent. This year’s Revolution was eclectic, loud, and unforgettable. It all happened at Space Ibiza, which Carl Cox calls “the Rolls Royce of clubs,” – a feeling obviously shared by many, given that Space Ibiza was voted World’s Best Club two times in a row by DJ MAG (2011 & 2012). Space Ibiza also just took home the Best Global Club award during the 27th Annual International Dance Awards at the WMC (Winter Music Conference) in Miami.
Carl Cox returned to the helm for his 11th year, along with this summer’s residents – Yousef, Umek and Nic Fanciulli, plus a stream of stellar headliners and a whole load of new faces for The Revolution Recruits.
Carl’s now preparing for the 500th episode of his Global show, going live at ADE with Fat Boy Slim and more special guests for a one off special.
The opening night of Carl Cox’s Revolution Recruits at Space made number one in Mixmag’s Big 3 this month.
Carl Cox continues his Revolution Recruits every Tuesday night at Space until September 18.
Carl Cox kicked off The Revolution Recuits in Space, Ibiza last night with DJ sets from Nicole Moudaber, Deetron, Nic Fanciulli and many more.
Early reports suggest that the night was hit, with the Revolution Recruits running every Tuesday from 3rd July until 18th September this year. Joining Carl will be residents Yousef, Umek and Nic Fanciulli, plus Fatboy Slim, John Digweed, Dubfire, Green Velvet, Josh Wink and Marco Bailey, and a whole host of new talent.
Carl Cox has just been announced as the replacement for Rihanna at Rock in Rio Madrid on Thursday 5 July.
And it begins…. The first part of Carl’s new album campaign kicked off this week, with the release of his first new single in over 6 years.
Family Guy, out yesterday, is the first track taken from the upcoming All Roads Lead to the Dancefloor (now available to pre-order) It’s classic Carl territory – a mammoth (10-minute) slice of icy-cool techno, already a fan favourite after Carl added an early version to his website last year.
“It was inspired by certain key changes in the Family Guy show’s theme tune,” explains Carl. “Ever since I put it online, I’ve had so much feedback and so many requests for it to be released. It had to be the first single.”
Included with the original Deep House Rerub Mix, comes the ‘Back To Acid Mix’, two mixes from Layo & Bushwacka! and a mix from Jon Rundell.
The album ‘All Roads Lead to the Dancefloor’ is out on August 1. To pre-order visit
