These are the tracks that have we’ve had on heavy rotation this week.

1. London Grammar – Wasting My Young Years

This hotly tipped three piece have just unveiled the video to their new single. ‘Wasting My Young Years’ is a haunting power-ballad akin to the style of The XX. If you like what you hear, their EP entitled Metal & Dust is available now.

2. Kelly Rowland – Dirty Laundry

The singer takes the honest approach in this candid R&B track in which she reveals her past struggles. It’s refreshing to see another side to the singer and the song has received an overwhelmingly positive reaction. Produced by The Dream, this is taken off her forthcoming ‘Talk A Good Game.’

3. Marina and The Diamonds & Charli XCX – Just Desserts

Just before embarking on their sold out US tour together, the pair have dropped this collaboration online described as a ‘sweet and romantic duet’ by Marina herself.

4. Daft Punk (feat. Panda Bear) – Doin’ It Right

An early favourite from the new Daft Punk release, featuring the vocal talent of the Animal Collective front man. The full album is being streamed ahead of its official release next week via iTunes.

Week 3 of our round-up of songs we’ve been really enjoying the last 7 days.

1. Daft Punk – Get Lucky (feat. Pharrell Williams)

So after the many weeks of fakes, remixes and so called “leaks”, it seems a final studio version of the new Daft Punk single has emerged. This tune combines the funky guitar of Nile Rodgers while the N.E.R.D. frontman provides vocals. The full album, “Random Access Memories” comes out 17th May.

2. Empire Of The Sun – Alive

On “Alive,” Empire of the Sun have adopted a bit of the Greg Kurstin model of synths found in the bombastically wonderful latest album by Tegan and Sara, mixed in with some Ellie Goulding-esque tug-at-the-heart-strings production. It’s a future sound replete with sparkling electronic riffs and angelic bridges that swell the heart to gigantic proportions.

3. Yes Sir Boss – MRS#1 (feat. Joss Stone)

The latest single by Bristol based Yes Sir Boss is quite the stamper. Featuring guest vocals from label boss Joss Stone, this is a rousing summer anthem that is bound to get anybody up and dancing. The single is out 22nd April and you can catch Yes Sir Boss on their current UK Tour.

4. FOXES – Beauty Queen

London based singer Foxes returns with the anthemic single ‘Beauty Queen.’ Compared to the likes of Florence and The Machine, the young singer is set to make her own name in the industry when her debut album is released this fall.

So it’s that time of the week again. Below are 4 songs that we’ve really been in love with the last 7 days.

1. James Blake – Overgrown

The second “official” single from the latest effort by the electronic DJ/Producer see’s Blake’s voice dancing delicately over piano chords and thick bass lines. His second album “Overgrown” is out now and is a must buy.

2. Parquet Courts – Borrowed Time

The band that everyone’s talking about, Parquet Courts are a New York outfit who have stormed into the musical zeitgeist with their classic take on punk / DIY indie. Check out our favourite cut from their latest album “Light Up Gold”.

3. Sultanov – Keep on Running

Brand new music direct from Russia. Our very own Dan Sultanov is a singer-songwriter who combines elements of 80′s pop, indie and rock to create a refreshing take on 21st century western  music. Expect big things from him!

4. Cat Power – Bully

Cat Power unveiled a brand new song on the newest edition of Jools Holland this Tues and we were blown away. The simple piano led medley really captures the emotions of the song and gives for a spine-tingling performance.

So we thought we’d start a new feature over here at EMMS. Every Thursday we’ll share 4 new tracks we’ve really been into over the past week. Just songs that we can’t get out of our heads. Here we go!

1.  Yeah Yeah Yeah’s - Sacrilege

Check out the brand new video featuring Lily Cole stuck in the middle of a very bizarre love triangle.

2. Major Lazer (feat. Ezra Koenig) – Jessica

Proof that an odd collaboration can actually work. The Vampire Weekend frontman provides leads vocals from this new single by Diplo’s alter- ego Major Lazer. Can’t wait for the full album on the 15th April.

3. Scarlette Fever – Where’s The Fun?

Our very own Scarlette Fever returns with this first cut from her up-coming new album. It will be a free download from the singer’s website on the 15th April.

4. Walk Of The Earth – Red Hands

The Canadian YouTube sensation are playing the Kentish Town Forum this up-coming Saturday and Red Hands is one of our favourite tracks from their debut album, “R.E.V.O.”
