Earlier this year, one of Ibiza’s biggest nights got even bigger as Carl Cox and Safehouse Management announced ‘Music Is Revolution’ at Space, Ibiza, with a host of new changes including two additional nights for summer 2014.

Since then, Carl and his team have been working hard putting the finishing touches to this season’s mouth-watering line-ups and we can now finally reveal who’s playing at the first 4 events.

As one of the busiest, most talked about, and successful parties in Ibiza, Carl’s nights at Space are synonymous with world-class DJ talent and, by the look of the first 4 weeks line-ups, continues to remain at the forefront. Joining Carl from 24th June – 15th July across Space’s Discoteca and Covered Terrace will be; Adam Beyer, Danny Tenaglia, Dyed Soundorom, Just Be (Bushwacka!), France’s legendary Laurent Garnier for his ONLY Ibiza show all season, Oliver Moon, Pan-Pot, Tania Vulcano, Uner, Umek and Yousef. And brand new this year, playing alongside Carl for the first time will be Fritz Kalkbrenner, Mano Le Tough, Rudimental (DJ set) and US house hero Todd Terry.

Carl says “We are really honoured to have so many well-respected and legendary DJs playing for us this season. We believe our consistently strong line-ups have played a big part in our long lasting success on the Island as we have become a party that people trust and know will deliver.”

In addition, to the stellar line-up revelations also comes the announcement that Carl will be opening the season with a mammoth not-to-be-missed 10-hour musical marathon. “It just had to be done and where else to do it than at our opening night at Space,” says Carl. “I’m going to dig deep and take everyone on a real journey through Techno and beyond. It’s going to be an unforgettable season – bring it on!”

More announcements will take place throughout the season – so, please watch this space for more details.

josh butler2014 is already proving to be a stellar year for House music’s new hero Josh Butler. Not only has he recently dropped his killer ‘No Frills’ EP on Kerri Chandler’s infamous MadTech imprint and remixed ‘Goodness Gracious’ by pop goddess Ellie Goulding, but he’s also just scooped a prestigious Beatport Award for his 2013 House anthem ‘Got A Feeling’.

Josh says “This is simply unbelievable. I knew ‘Got A Feeling’ was a strong track but I never knew it would blow up just like it did. For it to be Beatport’s best selling remixed track of the year and for me to win an award for it is unreal.”

The Leeds based DJ/producer has experienced an unprecedented couple of years to firmly gain his place at the forefront of House music’s new wave, boasting releases on a multitude of revered imprints such as MTA Records, MadTech, OFF Recordings, Cajual Records, Pura Music, Kraftek and garnering support from the likes of Steve Lawler, Maya Jane Coles, Waze & Odyssey plus BBC Radio 1’s Pete Tong, Annie Mac,Heidi, B. Traits and Mistajam.

Josh says “I am truly grateful for the kind success I’m currently experiencing. Things really started to gain momentum for me when I began working with Darius Syrossian and Hector Couto. My music started receiving a lot wider recognition which set things up nicely for my debut EP release on Chase and Status’ MTA Records at the start of last year.”

That debut MTA release was Josh’s illustrious ‘Got A Feeling’ EP, which included re-rubs from Ben Pearce and Bontan. The EP’s title track caused such a stir it was released twice throughout the year and went on to become Beatport’s best selling remixed track of the year. ‘Got A Feeling’ was Josh’s breakout into the industry’s field of vision and enabled him to perform throughout Europe and at some of the UK’s best clubs and events.

Bringing things up-to-date, Warrington’s worst kept secret has global ventures on the mind and looks towards achieving new and compelling heights. Josh says “I am working on some great new music and have some awesome shows lined up so I am really looking forward to what the future may hold. I just want to work hard and hope people keep enjoying my sound”

03-Corey050Brooklyn urban/pop newcomer Corey Jon is set to release his debut EP ‘Crazy Glue’ this spring, coinciding with his first ever UK live show at London’s Queen of Hoxton on April 7th.

Performing since he was a child, Corey Jon’s creative passions have seen him delve into every artistic foray, including a role in the Tony award-winning Broadway musical ‘Fela!’ It was here he got to work with the likes of Jay Z and Will & Jada Smith, which gave Corey the inspiration to start making his own music.

Fela changed the trajectory of my life,’ says Corey. ‘Fela’s music allowed me to have a new perspective of social political commentary. And performing for people like Madonna, Prince, Janet Jackson, Sting,President Obama and Oprah, I was able to meet and talk to everyone I admired in the entertainment industry. Being in the company of great artists helped confirm my own plan.’

‘Crazy Glue,’ his debut EP is a confident mix of R&B and pop, encompassing the vocals of The Weeknd with an anthemic backing that recalls the likes of Lenny Kravitz. Flying straight into the opening track, Corey flaunts powerfully sung lines over the high-tempo electro style beginnings of ‘Crazy Loud,’ one of his most personal songs on the EP, ‘It’s like ripping a page out of my journal, listening to that song is like therapy for me’ says Corey.

With ‘Got To Have You’, echoes of Usher are shining through as the New York artist swoons over a modernised rework of 80’s inspired keys. Title track ‘Crazy Glue’ and ‘Long Stroke’ delve into more epic territory with a domineering backdrop of guitars, pianos and rolling drumwork, but it’s the smooth R&B of ‘Matters’ where Corey really finds his stride and shows his most romantic, heartfelt side, floating an infectious hook of sultry vocals over hazed strings.

Corey is already working on his debut album, due out early next year. Alongside this he has plans for his own clothing line, and is still reading various scripts for films and more Broadway, plus he’s already been cast in TommyMottola’s upcoming ‘SuperFly,’ show. Stay tuned for more details.

Corey Jon ‘Crazy Glue’ is out April 7. He plays Queen of Hoxton on April 7.

The eclectic folk of Gabby Young and Other Animals has made the Music Week Top 10 playlist for their latest single ‘I’ve Improved’, taken from the eagerly anticipated third album ‘One Foot In Front Of The Other’.

Both of our previous albums have been so well received by critics and fans alike’ says Gabby. ‘I really hope this one achieves the same reaction. I see the three of them as a collective, but there’s something about this one – I’ve fallen in love with every song on it’.

The lead single ‘I’ve Improved’ is out April 14th. ‘One Foot In Front Of The Other’ is out April 28th.

One of 2014’s hottest new stars, UK singer-songwriter Jordan Morris has released his first official single this week, the explosive ‘Taking Your Side’ featuring Dappy.

The new single mixes Jordan’s impressive falsetto with polished synths – with his sights set firmly on radio and chart success. Jordan’s also drafted in the help of former N-Dubz star and current Celebrity Big Brother house mate, Dappy.

It was so exciting,” says 19-year-old Jordan on working with Dappy. “He was on the top of my list of people I wanted to work with, so getting him on board feels like a real benchmark. It was great fun hanging out with him on the video shoot too – his energy and passion is very inspiring and I think he really helps elevate the song.”

A single review of ‘Taking Your Side’ is featured in ‘Star’ magazine this week:
